WE CAN Celebrates Another Birthday!

Happy Birthday to WE CAN Mentee Jonathon! Jon has been matched up with his mentor Josh for a couple of months now and they’re really enjoying their summer together doing all kinds of fun and educational activities around the greater Parkersburg area! Jon is fascinated with History and all things related to the Military—as he hopes to join the Army some day. Josh is a perfect fit for him as he actively serves in the Naval Reserves. Together they have explored Blennerhassett Island and Museum, Fort Boreman Park and History Center, and they plan on touring the Mid Ohio Valley Veterans Museum in the near future. Together they also participated in our Service Project last month where we made care packages for servicemen and women serving overseas. Jon took the project very seriously, and was quite creative in making his own camouflage card (see photo)! Josh will be helping Jon celebrate his birthday this evening with his family and friends!
